How Can I Safely Store Computer Hardware W/o Having To Worry About Static Electricity?

I'm building up a new desktop (using new parts that I purchased). I'm reusing the case from my old desktop. I still want to hold onto the parts from my old desktop. How can I store them safely so that they don't get ruined? I don't have any anti-static bags. Is it ok if I just put them in some sort of other container?

That’s why they make anti-static plastic bags! If you don’t want to use them then you’ll just have to take a chance. Static electricity moves through the air too, so if you don’t want to use the anti-static bags, just leave the old parts in the case until ready to build, ( at least they’re grounded ), then use the anti-static bags the new parts came in for the old parts when removed from the case. If the parts aren’t grounded to metal and they’re in a dry location, they could be ruined when touched.
I store them in just plain bubble wrap. First, ground yourself while handling the bubble wrap and wrap them. Then put them in any old box you have. Empty boxes from building a new computer are great. I have stored them like this for a long time and have re-used parts up to two or three years later with no ill effects.
usually put them in the wrappers that the new parts came in
If I don’t have the wrappers anymore than I just wrap them up in bubblewrap or put them in a ziplock bag and store them all in a cardboard box
That’s probably OK. The only ones I’d worry about are memory chips. You might want to get some anti-static bags for those.
