How Can I Get Internet On My Phone Through Wifi Without A Set Internet Plan?

I'm getting an htc s621 Dash and i don't have an internet plan.
The phone has wifi.
Is there some way i can connect to my router at home through the wifi on the phone and surf the web without having to pay anything?

well if u have a wirless router at home .. use the wifi application from ur phone to detect the connection and just choose ur wifi connection if u have a pass enter it and ur online
